Auditions

The Process


Auditions are held 4 times a year. The next auditions will be held Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 3 - 5 p.m. No need to prepare anything ahead of time. The process is easy. Just email info@arvadachorale.org or call 303-368-4003 to set up an audition time. The Artistic Director will have you go through some vocal exercises to determine your range and tonality. You will also be tested on your site reading ability. No need to worry or be discouraged if you don't read music.

After the Audition


So now you've auditioned and have been welcomed as a new member of the Arvada Chorale. What's next?
Registration and dues. One of the Chorale managers will be there when you come out of auditions to register you into the system and accept your payment for dues.
Dues: $34 per concert or $120 for the full year (4 concerts)

Things you should know once you are a member


The Arvada Chorale holds rehearsals every Monday evening from 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. at the Arvada Center located at 6901 Wadsworth Blvd Arvada, CO 80003-3499 in rooms 11A and B.

You will be required to attend 80% of the rehearsals and the dress rehearsal.
Other requirements:

  • A black music folder or notebook
  • Appropriate concert attire; Jewel tone top for non-formal concerts and tuxedo / formal concert black for all others
