Friday night dining out in Grand County

If you are coming up to the retreat on Friday night and looking for a place for dinner, here are a few spots I can recommend.

  1. Tabernash Tavern - 970.726.4430

7 min East of YMCA

A little upscale menu, casual atmosphere

  1. The Ranch House at Devil’s Thumb - (970) 726-5633

15 min east of YMCA

Very gourmet! A high end, special occasion experience.

  1. Brickhouse 40 - (970) 887-3505

12 min west in downtown Granby

Historic building, great burgers, casual

  1. Grand Azteca - (970) 557-3014

11 minwest in downtown Granby

Family-owned traditional Mexican restaurant

  1. Smokehouse - (970) 722-0227

16 minutes east in Winter Park Town

Casual, “order at counter” BBQ – GREAT food, Tie-dye décor.

  1. Randi’s Irish Pub - (970) 726-1172

16 minutes east in Winter Park Town

Casual pub fare with some Irish specialties

  1. Hernando’s -  (970) 726-5409

15 min east in Winter Park Town

Local favorite for pizza, pasta. Decorated with dollar bills on the walls!

  1. Volarios - (970) 722-1199

16 minutes east in Winter Park Town

Family Italian, nice atmosphere

You probably don’t need reservations except for the Ranch House at Devil's Thumb, but you should DEFINITELY call in advance to make sure they are open!   Don’t trust info on the web – things are “fluid” in the Fraser Valley during  “shoulder seasons”
